Sunday night here once again. Got absolutely nothing accomplished this weekend, because I started having some allergy issues...runny nose, scratchy throat...so I just rested, slept and ate a little.
Missed the 20 year celebration of John Haynes and his family at our church. Wow what a legacy in following God's direction. What a tremendous impact God has made in bringing them here. So glad to get to worship with them.
Reminds me of my Mom. She served in the preschool area for 20 years. She did not think that when God placed her there it would be for that length, but God is faithful. Just as John has touched lives through God's ministries...Mom touched so many young lives. I think of the people who are currently here and are parents...many of them were brought up through Mom's ministry.
How God has blessed them all...through many generations. It is all in his plan. Thankful for those who follow him.

Only in Oklahoma...one day we have snow, the next day rain...and then I get ready to come home and the sun is shining! Oh I am thankful for the rain...at least it doesn't last long.
In Job it says that "He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. He provides rain for the earth; he sends water on the countryside." (chapter 5:9-10)

Snow...really????
Wow...snow! I never dreamed when I got up this morning that we would have snow. But there it was. Kind of pretty. Getting dressed, I wondered how bad it was on the roads. I sent a text to several people at school, while I was getting dressed. One said that cars were in ditches. Another said don't come! Yet another send me a picture.
Sooooo I stayed home. Got all of my papers graded. Should I say these were the same papers that I tried to grade all weekend and couldn't motivate myself to do. Looked at the snow...
It kept making me cold. I worked on some other school stuff. Apparently they divided up my students among other teachers. Of course they all showed up.
I went and looked at the snow again...it is kind of pretty looking at it from the inside.

I wonder what the tomorrow will bring. Thank you God for the beautiful scenes you brought me today!

I have always loved pictures of children welcoming their new baby brother or sister into their family. I remember Jamie always wanting to sit "with" his brother. He was only 2 years old when John was born. I have a lot of pictures of them together, but this is my favorite. His loving on his brother reminds me of how my sister (their mom) use to love on me.

I love this picture. It was taken at First Baptist Church. My parents eloped when they got married, so they never had a wedding or wedding reception. Donna and I wanted to give them a wedding where they could recite their vows. They refused. They said they would be too nervous. Isn't that cute! But...
...they would not refuse a reception, as long as no one brought them gifts!
I remember taking lots of pictures...but apparently someone else took this one. I love it mainly because Mom was always looking at her "girls." She didn't mind pictures, but she LOVED looking at her girls.
Love you Mom!

What a love...
"In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10
God. If anyone doubts that God is not a personal God...He rejoices over each one of us...even if it was just one of us! Love that special creates in me a desire to always praise him and honor him by living for him and following him in EVERYTHING! What a great God we serve!
